Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy, licking her wounds—and perhaps a gelato or two. But when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.

Marcello was the man—the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…

Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?
A celebration of great friendship, passionate romance, and wonderful food, Roman Crazy is a lighthearted story of second chances and living life to the fullest.

My Thoughts
Roman Crazy was everything I wanted in a book, more than I expected, and it left me with a serious case of wanderlust.  I was literally glued to this book, I couldn’t take my mind off it. From the scenes, the description and one hot Roman, it was a dream. I don’t think I have enjoyed a simple yet beautiful books as much as this one. I still can’t get over it. Roman Crazy left me feeling all the happy, fulfilled, and full of warm fuzzies.

Roman Crazy is set in Rome and it was the perfect setting. I loved it. After a difficult start, Avery decided to travel and be with her best friend in Rome. It was the best decision in her life and it leads her to the man she once loved but never thought she would see again. Roman Crazy is a beautiful second chance romance. I fell in love with everything Roman Crazy, the food, the scenery, the adventure, and the romance.

Avery, once the girl with so much passion and future, left it all behind but in a turn of events she started rediscovering herself. This made me so proud of her because this is exactly what she needed. She needed to find the old Avery and that she did. Avery is a character full of passion for art and beauty. She is one of those people that stops and just takes a moment to take in all of her surroundings. I loved that about her. She wasn’t perfect but it made her so much better that way. It gave her purpose and a mission.

Marcello was everything I want. He is Roman, in my head the had the cutest accent, he is beyond sweet and romantic, and he is built like a man. He was just perfection throughout the whole book. He listened and heard everything that Avery said. There is nothing sexier than a man listening to a woman’s requests and feelings. That made me fall even more in love with him. He also supported her career 100% and I LOVED that. Avery needed that support. Marcello’s little quirks and his sayings were also so endearing. Just everything about this Roman had me crazy.

Nina Bocci and Alice Clayton have written a beautiful, passionate, exciting, giddy, and heartwarming story with their novel Roman Crazy. I seriously can’t get enough of this story and I want more. I need more of this crazy happy romance. I want to know everything there is to know about these main characters and the secondary characters. I really hope there is more to come because I will devour it. Roman Crazy has left me satisfied and truly happy.
