[Review] To Love and To Cherish by Lauren Layne

Title:  To Love and To Cherish
Author: Lauren Layne
Series: The Wedding Belles, Book 3
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release DateOctober 18, 2016
Format: eARC (NetGalley)

Sex and the City meets The Wedding Planner in The Wedding Belles, a contemporary and witty romance series about three high-powered New York City women who can plan any wedding—but their own.
Alexis Morgan has spent the past six years devoted to turning her tiny start-up into Manhattan’s premiere wedding planning company, The Wedding Belles. Now that her business is thriving, it’s time to turn towards her much neglected personal life, and Alexis approaches her relationships like she does everything else: with a plan. Not a part of that plan is Logan Harris, the silent partner in the Belles, and the one person who’s been there for her since the very beginning. But Alexis needs someone fun, and Logan’s all business, all the time—except when a late night at the office ends with an unexpected kiss that leaves the usually cool and together Alexis reeling.
Logan has lusted after Alexis since the day he walked into the tiny Harlem apartment that used to double as her office. But the ambitious wedding planner has always been untouchable...until now. Alexis has made it clear that she’s on the dating market—and equally clear that he’s not in the running. But when Alexis finds herself in need of a date for her sister’s last minute wedding in Florida, Logan knows it’s the perfect time to show Alexis that there’s more to him than numbers and spreadsheets—and beneath the pinstripes and glasses lies a hot-blooded heartthrob. As Florida’s sultry days turn into even hotter nights, Logan’s out to convince Alexis that the fling of a lifetime could just maybe turn into forever...

**4.5 stars**
Since book 1 of the Wedding Belles series I have been waiting for Logan and Alexis to get together. Their story was everything I wanted it to be.

Alexis is my favorite character out of this series because of how strong she is. She owns her own extremely successful company and provides bride's with the ending of their dreams. Her coworkers have become some of her closet friends, but her life is missing something. A man. Or is it? Enter Logan.

Logan, the sexy Brit who is in love with the forever stubborn Alexis. Coming to America at 18, he hasn't left. Eight years he met the woman of his dreams, but convincing her of that will be the challenge of his life.

The chemistry of Alexis and Logan is felt from book 1 with the small glimpses you see of them. The chemistry between them in this book is off the charts. Logan knows how to handle Alexis and her moods, he knows her. He loves her. Can he wait for Alexis to realize that she loves him in return though?  I'm sad the series came to an end, but it couldn't have ended better.

[Review] For Better or Worse by Lauren Layne

For Better or Worse
By Lauren Layne
Wedding Belles, #2
Release Date: August 30, 2016

In For Better or Worse, the sexy second novel in USA Today bestselling author Lauren Layne’s irresistible new series, an up-and-comer Wedding Belle butts heads with the literal guy next door. Will their brewing tension boil over into something more?

He’s driving her insane . . .

When small-town girl Heather Fowler finally gets promoted from elite Wedding Belles assistant to full-fledged planner, she’s determined to put her best foot forward. Unfortunately, her first celebrity client demands an opulent black-tie affair at the Plaza…in three months. Heather’s days become a flurry of cake tastings, dress fittings, RSVP cards, and bridal tantrums. But what she’s really losing sleep over is the live music blaring from her playboy neighbor’s apartment all night. Heather vows to put this entitled man-child in his place, whether he likes it or not.

But a little crazy might be just what she needs.

Five years ago, Josh Tanner was a young rising star on Wall Street, complete with the penthouse and the migraines. But a grim cancer diagnosis made him realize there’s more to life than the corner office. He kicked the cancer and dedicated his life to following his passions; now, if he could just convince his pretty, workaholic neighbor to let loose, too. Once Heather begins to show him her softer side, Josh is surprised when he starts falling for the sweet, vulnerable woman hiding beneath those power suits. Soon it’s Heather’s turn to convince Josh to take the biggest risk of all: love.

For Better or Worse will have readers engaged from the start, and wedded to the idea of a summer and fall season filled with Wedding Belles!

I love Lauren Layne and her books, the Wedding Belle's series is no exception. For Better or Worse is Heather's story and so far it is my absolute favorite.

Heather is currently the assistant wedding planner at Wedding Belle's who is going one day to prove herself worth of a promotion to wedding planner. After growing up with just her mom and never knowing her dad, she set her sights on beginning and wedding planner and moving to New York. Having her list of goals and marking them off as they happened, she was down to finding her own HEA and her promotion. What she didn't realize was that to achieve both, she needed Josh Tanner.

Josh, even though I didn't like her jerky attitude in the beginning, is perfect for Heather. She needed someone to push her buttons to find what she needed in life. He needed her just as much, to realize what he was missing in his life. After receiving a second chance at life, he is afraid to let anyone close, let alone in, but Heather manages to do both.

Josh and Heather's story was sweet. They went into it as friends and came out of it as so much more. They were both afraid of it turning into and ruining it, but it was ruined in the absolute perfect way.

I can't wait for book 3! How could I not be excited for Alexis and Logan's story... Because let's be honest, there is some serious sexual tension there.

[Review] To Have and to Hold by Lauren Layne

To Have and to Hold
The Wedding Belles,#1
by Lauren Layne
USA TODAY bestselling author Lauren Layne is the “queen of witty dialogue and sexy scenes” (Rachel Van Dyken)! Now, Sex and the City meets The Wedding Planner in The Wedding Belles, her sizzling brand new contemporary romance series about three ambitious wedding planners who can make any bride’s dream come true…but their own.
Discovering her fiancé is an international con man just moments before they exchange vows devastates celebrity wedding planner Brooke Baldwin’s business—and breaks her heart. Now a pariah in Los Angeles, she seeks a fresh start in New York City and thinks she’s found it with her first bridal client, a sweet—if slightly spoiled—hotel heiress. Then she meets the uptight businessman who’s holding the purse strings.
Seth Tyler wishes he could write a blank check and be done with his sister Maya's fancy-pants wedding. Unfortunately, micromanaging the event is his only chance at proving Maya’s fiancé is a liar. Standing directly in his way is the stunning blonde wedding planner whose practiced smiles and sassy comebacks both irritate and arouse him. He needs Brooke’s help. But can he persuade a wedding planner on a comeback mission to unplan a wedding? And more importantly, how will he convince her that the wedding she should be planning…is theirs?

This was a classic Lauren Layne. I love her HEA. Being a wedding planner is no joke, especially when the big brother is in charge of the funds.

Brooke moves to NY to start over. After her own wedding day disaster, she needs a new start and is hired on by Wedding Belles. What she doesn't except is for her first clients older brother to be as good looking as he is.

Seth, after his father's death, he became the CEO of The Tyler Hotel Group and the man of the family. When his sister says she is getting married, he wants to give her the wedding of her dreams, until he meets the groom. The wedding planner, she is a completely different story.

Seth and Brooke are one of my favorite Lauren Layne couples. I'm excited for the rest of the Belles, Heather's story is up next and I have a feeling it will be one of my favorites yet again.
