The Play Mate by Kendall Ryan is a steamy story but it has purpose and individuality. Kendall Ryan always knows how to pack books with heat and depth. She creates stories that are quick and unique. This book is no different. I fell in love with all the characters and the amazing details.
We all know how the forbidden tale of how the brothers best friend can't have the little sister. Well this is that kind of book. I always fall in love with these stories because they have that forbidden element but also because these characters grew up together. It makes them even more fun. Well that is the story of Evie and Smith.
I absolutely love that Evie is so driven. She is a force to be reckoned with in the job world. She is strong and amazing in her career. It is my favorite when woman really do well in books. Smith was just as driven as well. Which was awesome because that makes the the ultimate power couple. What was even better? They worked together! I loved watching them in this environment. I loved the sweet and motivated Smith. He pulled me in and I fell for him. As soon as I got inside his head I was all in. He was an amazing character.
The Play Mate is a beautifully written story with not only an incredible storyline but with hot, steamy scenes that make you hot! I loved every second of it. I finished it so fast and now I want more. Lucky for me, Kendall is adding to this and the next book will be here soon. I am so excited for it!
