From New York Times bestselling author, Penelope Ward, comes a sexy, STANDALONE second-chance romance.
They called him Mack Daddy. No, seriously, his name was Mack. Short for Mackenzie. Thus, the nickname. Perfect, right?
So was he: perfect. The perfect physical male specimen.
At the private school where I taught, Mack Morrison was the only man around in a sea of women.
Everyone wanted a piece of the hot single father of the sweet little boy.
I was riddled with jealousy, because they didn’t know that—to me—he was much more.
They didn’t know about our past.
He’d chosen my school for his son on purpose, because Mack and I, we had unfinished business.
As my friend Lorelai so eloquently put it: “Unfinished business between two people who are clearly attracted to each other is like an eternal case of blue balls.” And I was suffering in pain from my case.
I was still intensely attracted to Mack. I tried to resist him, immersing myself further into a relationship with another man just to protect my heart.
Not to mention, getting involved with a parent was strictly against school rules. But seeing Mack day in and day out was breaking me down.
And soon I might be breaking all the rules.
Author's note – Told in alternating points of view, Mack Daddy is a full-length standalone novel.

Mack Daddy be Penelope Ward is one amazing book! I fell in love with it from the very first start. Mack Daddy is a slow burn romance but once you get to the good parts the book ignites. It built up and built up until it exploded with so much desire and passion. I love how Penelope Ward wrote this story. Mack Daddy had a lot of depth and longing and that is what made the story so impactful. It wasn't a quick story but it developed over a few years. It didn't feel rushed and Penelope did perfect with it.
Francesca, or Frankie, as Mack like to call her, was such an amazing character. She was so nurturing and caring. We saw two sides of her. Penelope Ward did amazing with giving us flashbacks of the past and it gave so much depth and understanding to the book. It felt real. So in these flashbacks we saw Frankie vulnerable and scared. She became roommates with her friend and Mack. That is where she met him. He helped her out of her shell. He brought out the best in her. It was beautiful to watch that unfold but that brought on so much tension. Mack was so strong and passionate. He spoke the truth. They were such an odd pairing back then but that made them perfect for each other.
Mack and Frankie parted ways but we got to see them joined back again in the future. It was hard and sad and kept me curious as to what had happened. These two were explosive together. They still had that spark but they were different. Time had changed them and their lives. It was beautiful to watch these two and see what was going to happen. My heart was rooting for these two. So much crazy happens and your heart beats and beats. This book is just so good!

**4 Stars**
Penelope Ward did it again with this amazing second chance
romance. The book starts off a little slow and you're putting pieces together
but when it picks up you can't but it down. The good parts are truly amazing.
Francesca or Frankie has a life in Boston as a teacher and
she is happy. What she wasn't prepared for though, was the man who she loved
during high school to show up and stir up all the emotions she had tucked away.
What surprises her even more was he has a son.
Enter Mackenzie, Mack, Morrison. Moving back to Boston means
there is a chance he might run into Frankie. Finding out she is a teacher and
getting his son into her class has to happen. Seeing Frankie again makes him
realize he has only ever loved her. But does he feel the same?
I loved reading their story. Seeing their relationship grow
and finally develop is sweet and it makes you happy when they finally get their
happily ever after.
