My #ForeverMoment is something
personal and I knew right away that it was going to be my forever moment. The
problem was that I didn't know if I was willing to share it because
it still makes me sad but it leaves my heart with so much joy because of the
memory behind it. The person I shared this forever moment with was my
grandma. I am going to honor my grandma and dedicate this moment to her because
I will always hold a piece of her in my heart. She recently passed
away and it left me empty. She was my second mother. We grew really close
to each other and the times and the moments we shared were always
special. She always had a smile on her face and I still remember her
laugh.
One of the most important moments I
shared with her was spending time with her in her last moments. It was so sad
but I had the honor of being by her side. She was the nicest person I had ever
met. She never spoke bad or wished bad on anyone. Everyone would be invited
into her house where she would proceed to give them everything in her
kitchen. I loved her so much. I am going to share a short little story because
it was important for me to share a happy story as my forever moment. So here we
go...
My #ForeverMoment
with her is something really funny and it always makes me laugh so I
thought I would share it with you all. It was when I was much much younger. I
think I was about 8 and my sister was 6. We would always spend the night at my
grandmas house in the weekends and it was the highlight of our week. We didn't
have anything to do so we decided to find something for our hair so we got into
my grandmas drawers and pulled out the rollers she used for her hair. We
thought it would be fun and we wanted to look beautiful so I proceeded to
put some on to my sisters hair. She was really excited up until they got stuck
in her hair. I tried pulling them and tugging them out but they
just wouldn't budge. Now it is hilarious but back then
it wasn't!
I didn't know
what to do so we had to fess up and call my grandma for help.
She comes rushing in and tires to pull the rollers from my sisters
hair but they as stuck on there real good. My sister is crying and screaming
the whole time because it is as if my grandma is pulling her hair! She has no
other solution but to bring out the scissors! She then carefully
tries not to mess it up to bad and she cuts a few pieces. Everything
is right in the world now. My grandma was our hero that day. I won't ever
forget how she laughed and us and told us to never get into her drawers again. This memory
is near and dear to my heart and it makes me laugh every time. I hope you
