Elect
Eagle Elite Series #2
by Rachel Van Dyken
“When I wake up in the morning… I
don’t think, wow, how can I make her love me more? How can I have my way with
her? I, I, I? Not in my vocabulary. In fact, I’m a big fan of the letter u. I
eat, I think of you. I drink, I drink to you. I cry, so you don’t have to. I’d
die, for you to live. And I’d survive with a broken heart only if it meant
mending yours.” - Nixon
Finding out you are part of the
Mafia was shocking for Tracey to accept but not knowing who you want to be with
is even harder to accept. This book is told in two different points of
view; Nixon and Chase. These two guys are different but if I was Trace I
would choose Nixon because he is completely selfless and he protects
her with everything he's got. And this happens often since it is the
Mafia! Chase is always there for Trace to pick up the pieces that Nixon breaks
but Nixon only does this to protect and keep Tracey safe (so I forgive
him). You get to see more of the Mafia since Nixon and Chase are telling the story
and I like that Rachel Van Dyken did this because we get to see just how
dangerous it can be. So much betrayal is seen in this book and
I can't say much because you need to read it for yourselves so
I don't ruin anything but just know this: One guy will get his heart
broken. Who will it be? Nixon or Chase?

Goodreads Description:
Would you die for the one you love?
Nixon Abandonato made his choice. And now he has to pay the
price. Tracey is the love of his life, but being with him has made her a target
of his family's enemies. The only way to keep Trace alive is convince the world
she means nothing to him.
Trace Rooks has fallen irrevocably in love
with the son of her family's sworn rival, and she knows in her bones nothing
can tear them apart. Until Nix suddenly pushes her away and into the arms of
his best friend... But Trace isn't ready to give up on a future with Nix--and
if he won't fight for them, she will.
In the end, a sacrifice must be
made. A life for a life. For what better way to cover a multitude of sins than
with the blood of a sinner . . .
