“I need you like I need my heart to pump blood through my body,
like I need air to breathe, like we need gravity.
Hell, Trace you are my gravity."

One name: Nixon
Description: Irritating, extremely infuriating, hot and cold behavior, devilishly handsome (but still the devil himself, well sometimes, mostly in the beginning), and sweet when it comes to Tracey (sometimes).

She is only a farm girl from Wyoming or so she though before she won a contest to attend a very privileged school in Chicago where the life she thought she new was a lie. Tracey’s world is transformed from a simple farm life to a life of living in danger. Nixon Abandonato is cruel and mean to Trace the second she steps in to school. HE literally owns everything and he owns the school. He and his friends are part of the Elect, the most privileged kids in the school and they make the rules that everyone must follow without question but Trace tests Nixon by going against his every word. Trace hates Nixon for the way he embarrasses her and treats her in front of everyone but she does not back down from Nixon but she cant help but be attacked to the dark haired, icy blue eyed, and lip pierced boy.

Nixon tries to stay away from Trace but something is familiar about her and then both soon discover the truth about Tracey that changes everything she ever knew. Nixon fights his attraction to Trace but its unavoidable but he will hurt her if it means that he can protect her. This book was different and interesting to me because it was about the Mafia and I had never read a book like it. Nixon is so amazing but when he has to push Trace away from him she starts to fall for his cousin Chase. Chase has a great sense of humor and he is always there for Tracey but Nixon is the man for me even though he messes up a few times. With Trace’s grandpa, Nixon, and Chase being a part of the Mafia her new life gets dangerous. Will they be able to keep control? Can they protect the people they love? Read Elite to find out!

Goodreads Review:

For Tracey Rooks, life with her grandparents on a Wyoming farm has always been simple. But after her grandmother's death, Tracey is all her grandfather has. So when Eagle Elite University announces its annual scholarship lottery, Tracey jumps at the opportunity to secure their future and enters. She isn't expecting much-but then she wins. And life as she knows it will never be same . . .

The students at Eagle Elite are unlike any she's ever met . . . and they refuse to make things easy for her. There's Nixon, gorgeous, irresistible, and leader of a group that everyone fears: The Elect. Their rules are simple. 1. Do not touch The Elect. 2. Do not look at The Elect. 3. Do not speak to The Elect. No matter how hard she tries to stay away, The Elect are always around her and it isn't long until she finds out the reason why they keep their friends close and their enemies even closer. She just didn't realize she was the enemy -- until it was too late.
