Out of all the Roommates books, I think The House Mate is my
new favorite. This was a quick easy read and everything I wanted it to be. Each
of these books in the series can be read as a stand alone, so there is no need
to go back and read the others before starting this one, but I do recommend
reading the other two so you can love them just as much as I do.
Max Alexander is almost 35. He's successful, he's hot and
has no time for a relationship or things that tie him down in life. Insert
having his daughter dropped off to live with him and the need to figure out how
to run his life. When his daughter is dumped off on his doorstep, his
priorities change and he suddenly finds himself needing a nanny to provide care
for Dylan. When he hires Addison to become the live in nanny, he wasn't
prepared for the chemistry between them from the first time he opens his front
door or for how amazingly gorgeous she is. Addison is young, gorgeous and Dylan
seems to instantly feel a connection to her. Will they let their relationship
stay purely professional or will they give and see how they will make a
professional relationship become personal?
Kendall did an amazing job on this one and I can't wait to
see what else she gives us. I think Max and Addison are my favorite couple out
of the series so far! So I'm dying to meet couple four.
Kendall Ryan writes sexy, fun, and thought out stories. The House Mate was very intriguing and a quick refreshing read. It was the perfect love story that left me swooning. The characters were well written and they were perfect for each other.
Max needs someone to take care of his daughter and he finds the perfect girl. She's amazing with his daughter Dylan and she is a great candidate. He hires her to be the live in nanny but he can't stop his attraction towards her. Addison can't stop staring at the gorgeous man. The sparks fly between these two but are they willing to risk it?
Max captured me from the very start. The love for his daughter shone through the pages and endeared me to him immediately. He was a powerful and hardworking man and he melted for his daughter. It was so adorable to watch. That added so much sexiness to him.
Addison was amazing with Dylan. The way she would take care of her and play with her was so cute. She was the perfect one for the job. I loved that she tried so hard to resist Max for Dylan's sake. She loved that little girl so much. Their attraction was just too much though. I loved watching it develop throughout the story.
Kendall Ryans gives us another amazing read. I don't think she can ever disappoint me. Her writing is amazing and she always gives us new and unique stories to fall in love with.
