Going into this book I didn't know what to expect. I knew that this was going to be about two friends but I didn't know how much depth would be put into the book. I was a little nervous about Ryan because I wasn't sure what his past was going to be. I just read the synopsis and I was intrigued. Sonya Weiss brings forth a book about a boy with a troubled past and a girl that wants all of him. Weiss does great with the romance. I felt the sparks fly but I also knew it was more than just about a girl losing her virginity to her best friend. These two have a history together and they have to deal with it.

I liked Tana's character. Although she was a in denial, she still had a strong character. I liked that she was the girl that went after what she wanted. It was hurtful to see at times, but I liked that about her. She was straight to the point when she needed to be. She was a girl after the truth. Although she did have some meltdowns she was an amazing girl. I loved the fact that she was so loving towards her brother. I also liked that she didn't try to let her past define her. She learned a lot from it. Throughout the book I was able to feel her feelings. Sometimes those feelings were too strong.

Ryan was a tough character. He was all bad boy, tattooed, and he didn't show his feelings much. But when you got to his POV he was surprising. I felt this connection to him. He did make me angry a lot though, but I saw how protective and kind he was. I saw underneath his hard exterior and I experienced his gushy insides. I loved it! I loved seeing this side to him because if I didn't, I don't think I would have liked him. His words were mean at times but it was his way of trying to protect others. I liked that Tana was him weakness. I think everyone needs to have a weakness.

Now this is going to be a little bit of a critique because I did see some faults in the book but overall I really liked it. I think that sometimes it skipped too much time. I felt like time was lost towards the end and not enough was explained. I wish that missing piece would have been included because it would have made me feel the emotions the characters would be facing during that lost time. That left me a little confused but I think other than that it was a really good book.
