Upside Down
By Lia Riley
4.5 out of 5 stars
Book #1 in the OFF THE MAP series
“There are beautiful places inside
him, where laughter comes easy, where sweet words appear like surprises. But I
also know his bitter valleys. The dark caves where he hides his fears, his
hurts, and his disillusionments.”
So let me tell you about
Talia. She is a very strange character but in a good way. She is different and
I haven’t met anyone quite like her. Her OCD tendencies make her unique but do
not take away from her other characteristics. So Lia Riley you did an amazing
job with Talia. So moving on, Talia has had some hard circumstances in her life
that lead her to Australia where she meets a koala. Yep, a sexy koala. An
infuriating koala. An angry koala. And dare I say, a sexy koala again. I though
it was kind of funny and downright amazing how Bran is introduced to the story.
He refuses her help and then she leaves. That’s that right? Wrong. Of course it
couldn’t be all. So she goes to meet with a friend and it just so happens that
that friend is friends with the koala. So this is where Bran and Talia formally
you could say, meet. They go from trying to avoid each other but not really
trying, to being together all the time. Talia trusts Bran and she confides in him but Bran needs to do the same. The sad part is that Bran doesn’t believe
in love. Like at all. His past with love is not so good so he just gave up. He
just doesn’t see it from my point of view. He does love and he has to love. So
this story is amazing and it’s in Australia! So this is a must read. This book
will take you through various emotions so be prepared. Will Bran find that love
does exist with Talia? Read it to find out.

Goodreads Description:
If You Never Get Lost, You’ll Never Be Found
Twenty-one-year-old Natalia Stolfi is saying good-bye to the
past-and turning her life upside down with a trip to the land down under. For
the next six months, she'll act like a carefree exchange student, not a girl
sinking under the weight of painful memories. Everything is going according to
plan until she meets a brooding surfer with hypnotic green eyes and the
troubling ability to see straight through her act.
Bran Lockhart is having the worst year on record. After the girl
of his dreams turned into a nightmare, he moved back home to Melbourne to piece
his life together. Yet no amount of disappointment could blind him to the
pretty California girl who gets past all his defenses. He's never wanted anyone
the way he wants Talia. But when Bran gets a stark reminder of why he stopped
believing in love, he and Talia must decide if what they have is once in a
lifetime . . . or if they were meant to live a world apart.
