[Review Blitz] Your Fierce Love by Layla Hagen

The strong and sexy Blake Bennett is downright irresistible.  And Clara Abernathy is doing everything she can to resist his charm. After spending her life in group homes, Clara yearns for the love and warmth of a true family.  With the Bennetts treating her like their own, she can't possibly fall for Blake. That would be crossing a line... But when Clara needs a temporary place to live, and she accepts Blake’s offer to move next door to him, things escalate. Suddenly, she’s not only supposed to resist the man who’s hell-bent on having her, but the TV station she works for is determined to dig up some dirt on the Bennett family. Blake knows family friends are off-limits, and Clara is more off-limits than anyone. But Clara’s sweetness and sass fill a hole in him he wasn’t even aware of. Soon, he finds himself gravitating toward her, willing to do anything to make her happy. Blake enjoys bending the rules—much more than following them, but will bending this one be taking it too far?

**4.5 Stars**

This series seriously just keeps getting better and better. Layla Hagen is the master of my favorite series ever! There is nothing like reading a series about siblings and seeing how they each grow and learn about them in their own books. The family seriously gets romance and each of their romances are amazing and individualized to fit them.

I can't get enough of the Bennett family and Clara and Blake's story was no different. The friends to lover’s theme was perfect for them. Watching them transition to giving into their attraction to each other was perfect. I loved every detail and every scene. Seeing these two together was perfect. You got to see the matchmaker sisters do their thing, but you also got to see the protective side that the brothers have for Clara. It was absolutely perfect.

I can't wait to see what else is going on with this family. I can't wait for more. Layla owns my heart when it comes to sibling books and I can definitely say that the Bennett's are the absolute best.

      Excerpt
Dante slammed his hand into the tree, his jaw popped as he gritted his teeth together and then calm washed over him as he whispered near my ear, “Want me to kill him?” A few people walked by and stared at us, it looked like he was kissing my neck, like we were normal college students sharing a moment. Nope. Wrong story, kiddos. He just offered to kill someone for offending me, run along, nothing to see here. “After,” I said. “Kill him after he stops being useful to you, to the bosses.” I couldn’t believe what was coming out of my mouth, what I was agreeing to. “Yes.” Dante pulled back, his face broke out into a smile. “How messed up is it that I’m actually looking forward to that moment?” I gulped. “It’s in your blood.” “I wish it wasn’t,” he said gruffly. “I wish I didn’t crave it — dream about it — almost as much as I wish I didn’t feel guilt every day because of it.” I sighed and put my hands on his chest, then ran them up around his neck, he didn’t move, or flinch, so maybe we were having a moment as our mouths almost touched. “The only shame in life, is not being who you were truly born to be. If that means you kill the bad guys — kill the bad, guys Dante. Just don’t lose your soul in the process.” “And if it’s already gone?” He croaked his eyes darkening as he slowly leaned in until his forehead touched mine. Days ago I would have been terrified that his body was this close. Days ago, I would have shoved him away and run. Days ago, I would have shuddered that his bloodstained hands were running up and down my skin. But today. Today was different. Today I closed my eyes and drank in the wicked scent of Dante Nicolasi, the cologne mixed with soap. I inhaled. And opened my eyes again. Yesterday I was angry. I was afraid. Today. Against the tree. Pinned by Dante’s arms. I was safe. “I’ll help you find it,” I whispered. “Just don’t damn yourself in the process, El.” He cupped my face with his right hand, his eyes fell to my mouth, his half-lidded seductive look could stop a girl dead in her tracks. The wives always talked about how attractive his father was, even at an older age. Almost like he’d aged backward. Dante was no different. If it was possible for a human to get more attractive by the day — he’d be the one to prove you right. “Are you going to kiss me again?” I asked hopefully. “No.” He pulled away. My heart sank into my stomach. “Because I don’t want to start something I have no intention of stopping.” My head jerked, our eyes locked, and I saw it. The honesty. “Told you I’d never lie to you, El.” His voice had a warning edge to it, like I shouldn’t push him, push whatever invisible boundaries he’d mentally set up between us. His eyes never left mine. And I knew, this was what he looked like when he was telling the truth. His eyes pierced through my defenses in an unapologetic search for my heart, my soul. And I let them. “We should get to class.” I finally found my voice and started walking, he fell into step beside me. And I spent the rest of the day thinking about the non-kiss. And the promise that came with it.

      Review

Enrage by Rachel Van Dyken is a jaw-dropping, heart-racing, and phenomenal read that grasps you with every emotion you can think of. Enrage is one of the most mind-blowing books I have read this year and one of my top favorites. I fell in love with this series years ago and as the series moves forward, Rachel Van Dyken just takes things to a whole new level. She knows how to write and captures every reader by the heart. I am both amazed and terrified of her brilliance!

Just when I think these books can't get any crazier they do! I love every bit of that. It keeps me so invested in the book and the characters. This book was intense. Get ready to feel everything and wish for more. I am in love with the way Enrage consumed me. All the characters we love are back with ferocious energy and deeper roots. In this book, we get more of Dante and I am in serious love. He is such an amazing character. Just when you think you love one mafia man another one comes and clutches your heart. Dante is a combination of deathly, dangerous, and sweet. It is weird to combine these three things together but that is how it is. I know I keep gushing about him and this book but it is just that GOOD. This book is EVERYTHING.

The beginning of this books is full of that desire and all about fighting and trying to ignore your emotions. It is also where we meet El. The fierce and strong woman that has been through so much. It will break your heart but this makes El such a beautiful person. The tension and the sparks are at their strongest in this book. It will not disappoint.

Eagle Elite Fans be ready to love and break and most of all feel. This book takes you on one of the biggest journeys yet and will leave you feeling too much at once. Rachel Van Dyken's passion and love for words made this book unforgettable. I am excited for more Eagle Elite books with more passion, love, action, and energy. I can't wait for more!

[Virtual Tour] Eye Candy by Jessica Lemmon

Don’t trust lust at first sight.

      EYE CANDY
      Real Love #1
      Jessica Lemmon
      Releasing July 25th, 2017
      Loveswept

Don’t trust lust at first sight. One woman chooses reality over fantasy in this friends-to-lovers romance.

Jacqueline: As an adult woman—and the vice president of a marketing firm—I shouldn’t be waiting by my office window to ogle the mystery man who jogs by every morning at 11:45. Sure, he’s a gorgeous, perfect specimen of the human race, but I can’t bring myself to hit on a total stranger. However, my best friend–slash–colleague Vince Carson thinks I should do more than talk to the guy. In fact, he’s borderline obsessive about “getting me laid.” (His words.) But the more time we spend together, the more it’s clear: The one I’m falling for is Vince.

Vince: Jackie Butler’s got it bad for some pompous, over-pumped A-hole who struts his stuff past her window. That doesn’t bother me. I know she deserves nice things. What does bother me is that she friend-zoned me big-time last year, so I can’t ask her out myself. But what if I set her up with Mr. Steroids? Then, when he breaks her heart, I can swoop in and save her like the nice guy I am. Everything’s going according to plan . . . until we share a ridiculously epic kiss. And suddenly anything is possible.

      **4 Stars**
This was my first by Jessica Lemmon and I loved it. The whole friends to lovers story gets me every time, but this one had a twist and I loved every second of it. I was hooked from the very beginning and I didn't want it to end. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what was going to happen, I needed to know what was going to happen. I can say it was my first by Jessica Lemmon and it won't be my last, that's for sure. It was light, funny and everything I needed.
The story of friends to lovers, had a twist to it this time. Jackie and Vince are also coworkers who say the role of VP at the company they work for. They are both divorced, but have no idea that they are attracted to each other. This makes it comical since Jackie has her eye on the mysterious runner she sees weekly. Watching Jackie and Vince work through finally getting together was cute. It was fun and you felt for them both. You feel the confusion that is going on. You hurt for them both since you want to smack them and be like "hello!" but overall, I loved their story. It was unique to them. The plot twists were awesome and so not expected. I do wish Vince had been a little more honest with Jackie at times, but then the story wouldn't be what it was.
I can't wait for more from this series by Jessica Lemmon.
