Holding You by Kelly Elliott Blog Tour: Character Interview and Review

BLURB
Lauren Reynolds wanted only two things in life—to run her father’s horse breeding business and Colt Matthews. Fearing Colt would take her position within the family business, she tried to push him far away from her heart.

When life could no longer keep Lauren and Colt apart, their two worlds became one. Every second of every moment, they spent together. Their love bloomed into something neither of them imagined—a bond so strong Lauren and Colt believed nothing would ever stand in their way.

However, life threw a cruel twist into Colt and Lauren’s planned happily ever after. Will fate let them live out the life they dreamed of, or will one of them be left alone, lost and angry?
“I’ll spend forever holding you … even if it’s only in my memory.”

**Review**

5 out of 5 Stars

Kelly Elliott just has a way of making me feel at home when I read her books. No matter where I am, the words take me away to my home in the country. Kelly's books make me feel calm, peaceful, and whole. When I heard I was going to be a part of this blog tour I about almost had a heart attack. Then when I saw that I had the character interview I think I passed out and lost 5 seconds of my life. I am still beyond excited just writing this review for having the privilege of being on this tour.

So let me tell you a little bit about the amazing Colt. We have seen Colt (Ellie and Gunner's son) in the past books of the Love Wanted in Texas Series. He has always been lovingly staring at Lauren, always wanting her. I know for sure that he is the son of Gunner because Colt one-upped his dad in the romance department. Man that boy can swoon a girl. I have no idea how Lauren could have avoided him for so long. He always loved Lauren from a distance. He tired to be with her but things never worked out for them in the past books.

Now Lauren is a cutie! She says "oh my glitter!" a lot and it grew on me after some time. It's funny that she says that but then follows it with a bunch of curse words. Her sayings are also cute and sweet. I loved the one she told to her mom. I was cracking up haha. As a matter of fact I still am. This is what she said, "That's why he is the pop to my cherry." It was funny to watch that between Jessie and Lauren. It shows how close they are.

There will always be one character that will always try to put off the relationship. Ugh it is frustrating some times because after all that they have seen in the past you would think that they would have learned from all their parents' and friends' experience. I am just glad that Lauren made the move to pursue Colt at Luke and Libby's wedding.

From then on their relationship is sickeningly sweet, something I think Grace would say. They are so perfect for each other and Colt continues to swoon Lauren with all this actions and words. I loved watching their relationship play out. The scene with Mr. Snuggles was one of my favorites because these girls always know who they are going to marry at such young ages.

I love being able to look at the other characters lives. I especially love Grace and her appearances. Also, I love that little tutorial Grace had! That was one of my favorite scenes all time! I couldn't stop laughing the whole time! Grace makes me laugh but she made me feel extremely sad for her in this book. It hurt to know she was hurting so much because of Noah. That little sneak peak at the end of this book was torture! I have been waiting for their story since the very beginning when Noah and Grace bumped into each other. I am ready Finding You! September can't come any faster.

**Character Interview**

Hey everyone! I am Tanya from T & G Book Boutique and I am beyond excited to have this chance to interview Lauren and Colt.

Tanya: Don’t tell the others but you are lucky to have Colt in your life Lauren, he is the most romantic man ever! No offense to the other guys but Colt you melted my heart with the things you did and said to Lauren.

What is the most romantic thing Colt has done for you Lauren?

Blushing, Lauren peeks at Colt through her eyelashes.

“Hmm, gosh he has done so many romantic things for me. I’d have to say the time he filled one of the stalls in my father’s barn with white lights and sat on top of my new horse, Romeo, and declared he would forever love me more than Romeo. It was something so simple, yet made me feel so very special.”

Tanya: Lauren, at Libby and Luke’s wedding, what made you finally decide to go to Colt? Would you change anything?

Shaking her head, Lauren takes a deep breath before talking.

“Tired of fighting my feelings for Colt was one of the main reasons. I was watching all of my friends around me get their happily ever after, and I was finished with putting my on hold because of my own fears and insecurities. Would I change anything? No. I believe everything we do in this life happens for a reason. The choices we make whether good or bad, lead us ultimately down the road that makes us the person we are today.”

Tanya: This question is for both of you. What is the most important thing to have in your relationship?

Colt: “Love.”

Lauren: “Totally. If you don’t have love … what do you have?”

Tanya:  What is your favorite thing about each other?

Colt and Lauren both look at each other and smile.

Colt: “I love Lauren’s smile. It can brighten the darkest day. The moment she smiles at me I know nothing in that moment could ever get better than this.”

Lauren: “Oh my glitter. That’s a hard one. I have so many things that are my favorites. His smile, those baby blues, and the way he holds me in his arm. His compassion for other people. I’ve never met anyone who takes every single persons feelings into account.”

Tanya: Lauren, tell me why horses and being a part of your daddy’s business is so important?

“Oh my gosh, it’s my entire life. From the time I can remember, I’ve loved horses. Being around them, working with them, learning about them. Watching my father work while I grew up, I think I knew from a very early age I wanted to be a part of Daddy’s business. It’s a huge part of who I am.”

Tanya: Colt, did you always know that you didn’t want to be a part of your dad’s business but instead be a part of Scott’s? Why?

“I love the cattle ranch with all my heart, but horses have always been my thing. Kind of like what Lauren said, I can remember being little and I was supposed to be helping my father with the cattle. Instead I was over with the horses, pulling open their mouths and trying to see what their teeth looked like. Placing my ear to a pregnant mares stomach and trying to see if I could ‘hear’ anything. Horses have always fascinated me.”

Tanya: Colt, being at the hospital, what were your thoughts and fears?

Colt glances over to Lauren and takes her hand. “That I would lose Lauren. That was my biggest fear.”

Tanya: Lauren, did you like the sudden trip to Vegas or did you regret not having your friends there?

Smiling, Lauren shakes her head.

Lauren: No, no regrets at all. Colt and I followed our hearts. When you follow your heart I don’t think you will ever have regrets. Our friends completely understood our reason and supported us.”

*Grace walks in after snooping on Lauren’s answer*

Grace: “Would have been nice to have been there though. Just sayin’. I mean I was the one who gave you that little push in the first place that got you and Mr. Lover Boy together.”

Tanya: Grace! Just the person I was hoping would be bold enough to interfere! I am sure all of us are dying to know more about you and Noah. Care to share anything about your little misunderstanding with him?

Letting out a chuckle, Grace shook her head while pointing her finger at Tanya.
Grace: “Oh no you don’t. Nope. You’re not getting anything out of me!”

Tanya: Aww man! At least I tried. So, Lauren and Colt, I have two last questions for you.

What is your favorite memory of each other and what do you expect your future to be like?

Colt and Lauren gaze at each other as they both smile.

Colt: The first time Lauren told me she loved me. It was probably the best day of my life.

Lauren: The first kiss. The first time Colt kissed me, truly kissed me and filled my body with passion and love. I knew my life would never be the same.

Leaning over, Colt gently kisses Lauren on the lips and whispers, “I love you.”

Pulling back from each other, Lauren lets out a giggle.

Lauren: “I’m thinking our future is going to be filled with lots of laughing.”

Colt: “And lot’s of kissing!”

Laughing, Lauren nods her head. “And probably a baby…”

Colt: “Or two.”
