Military legacy Ari
Alexander has survived alien spies, WWIV, and a changing world order. But when
the new leader of Earth uses Jackson—the only boy she's ever let herself care
about—to get to her, Ari has no choice but to surrender.
To free Jackson, she
agrees to travel to the national bases to train others to fight. What she
discovers is a land riddled with dying people. Ari has the power to heal by
turning the fighters into aliens—half-breeds like her. If she succeeds,
together, they have a chance at overthrowing the alien leader, Zeus. But if she
fails, everyone she holds dear will be wiped away forever.
Once again, everything
Ari’s come to believe is thrown into question. In a world of uncertainty,
loyalties are tested, lies are uncovered, and no one can be trusted. If Ari and
Jackson have any hope at survival and at preserving a life for the future, they
must fight the final war with their eyes wide open.

Review
5 out of 5 stars
I have been waiting for Collide since the moment I finished
reading the first book. I was hysterical
when Tanya told me we received the ARC in our inbox. I am extremely happy to
say that the ending to one of my favorite book series did not disappoint. It
contained everything that could possibly make a book good, and turned it into
something amazing. It had the action, the love, the pain, the good, the bad,
and the ugly. Did I mention love? Ari is still the same kick-butt kind of girl,
but she has a bigger perspective. Her love for others just continues to amaze
me. She really does just put everyone else before her. You really cannot compare her to anyone else. Her heart is most
certainly the size of the sun. Can I just say one thing? I really want a Jackson! Ugh this boy can get your heart melting like
no other. He is just so perfect and his love for Ari is so immense that it
makes me a little teary eyed. Goodness! We cannot forget the boy’s hotness.
There were some reenactments of something similar to the shower scene from book
two, if you remember, that definitely had me fanning myself. Phew!
This book is the final showdown
between Zeus and Earth, so of course there is bound to be some action. I really
want you to read this book and form your own opinions, so I won’t say much. I’ll
just say that A LOT happens in this book. So many things went down that provoked
tears, smiles, laughs, love, and so much more. It is just truly an amazing
story with fantastic writing from Melissa West. I loved this book so much, that
I am not only encouraging you, but pleading for you to go out and read this
series if you haven’t already. I am very sad that I will no longer get to read
more of the Taking series; however this story will forever be ingrained in my
mind and heart.
“I know a lot has changed, but the fundamental elements of your world are still the same. There is still air and warmth. There is still a blue sky for day and stars at night. Earth is still the same. And no matter what, no matter what happens, I want you to know that you are the best thing to ever happen to me. I love you.”
