All she knows is that he's one gorgeous man with the sexiest accent she's ever heard. He fights for what he wants, even if it takes fighting a little dirty . . . More in the Hometown Players series: One More Shot Making a Play The Final Move

Review
**4.5 stars**
This was my first book by Victoria Denault and it did not disappointment. It's not secret that I'm a sucker for hockey romances, but add in a second chance love and it's even better.

Jessie is a strong female lead and I'm glad the story was about her. Being in love with your best friend is hard, especially when after 6 years of watching him man whore around, you still love him. She hasn't ever really had it easy, but knowing she's achieved what she has by herself and for herself makes the story even better. When her former best friend and love of her life come back into the picture, she wasn't sure she could give him a chance again at anything, let alone a friendship. Jessie is one of my favorite female leads as a character because of her strength and deter maroon to succeed and not get hurt.

Jordan, Jordy, has only loved on woman his entire life. He has only ever cried over one woman. Because of this, I loved him. He wasn't a saint by any means, but when he realized what he wanted he stops at nothing to get there. Even if it means he might screw it up all over again by shutting her out.

I loved their story. I loved the sense of family that is portrayed in this book, because it meant that family isn't just blood. I can't wait for more of the Hometown Players series!
