Lake Jones is a cover girl for cutting-edge prosthetic legs,
a binge-watcher of Netflix, known to spy on her neighbor through her door’s
peephole, and fond of laser games with her hairless cat. She’s also a bit
sexually-frustrated.
Until …
God bestows a breath of mercy upon her in the form of Minnesota’s NFL starting
quarterback. But this gift is no stranger. Lake met Cage Monaghan three years
earlier.
It was one day.
One moment.
One kiss that resurrected her dreams of finding love.
His dimpled smile distracts from his imperfections, which include: a love for
country music, fishing, and a feline-hating girlfriend.
When life finally gives them their chance, it’s a humorous and heart-wrenching
journey to find their place in the world.
"We would be Cage and Lake. We would be unpredictable. We would be
reckless. We would give normality the middle finger.”

Review
This was my first book by Jewel E. Ann and I can honestly
say I loved it. Lake and Cage's story, you were giggling to yourself one one
minute and then you were completely swept off your feet over how perfect they
were together.
Lake the woman who is so uniquely herself you couldn't help
but love her. She is a survivor. After losing her leg and her fiancé in an
accident, she was given 6 months to grieve before she needed to snap out of it
and live. Lake lives her life to the fullest and falling in love again.
Cage. I don't even know where to start with him, besides
where can I find one of him for myself in real life? Living life as an rookie
NFL quarterback his amazing ability to sweep you off your feet is amazing. The
amazing measures he took to kiss Lake again is one I will forever be slightly
jealous over.
I loved the journey Lake and Cage took together to find
their happily ever after. All I can say is, I hope we get Flint's story.
