[Review] Cement Heart by Beth Ehemann

Cement Heart
Viper's Heart Book 1
Beth Ehemann

Lawrence Finkle, known simply to his die-hard Minnesota Wild fans as Viper, isn’t used to hearing the word "no." He lives his whole life just a little on the reckless side. After all, life is just one big game, right? Wrong.

Review
***4.5 Stars***

After being introduced to Viper in the Cranberry Inn series, I was beyond excited to read his story. Being told from Viper’s POV, I wasn’t sure how the book was going to go, but I can honestly say I am in awe with him.

Viper isn’t one to “settle down” let alone spend two nights with the same woman. After a tragic accident in his best friend, his life shifted and he no longer wanted to have a cement heart. He wanted to be a better man, someone his friend would be proud of and also someone he would be proud of himself.  I fell in love with Viper every page I read and by the end of the story, I was proud of who he was and who he was still becoming. His story surprised me, which means I want to leave his woman and their story out of my review. Why? Because every ounce of their story deserves to be loved and cherished the same way I loved and cherished it. Their story is one of pain, forgiveness, friendship and finally love. I can’t wait for book 2 and see how their story continues.

This is a spin off of the Cranberry Inn series, but I feel it can be read as a standalone.
