[ Review ] A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

 My Thoughts
I think Sarah J. Maas is a genius. A Court of Mist and Fury blew my mind. I loved this book so MUCH. I am addicted to this beautiful world. I don’t think that I have fallen so hard for a fantasy before but Sarah J. Maas did it. She made me fall in love with fantasy and with her characters. I don’t even have enough words to describe how in LOVE with this book I am. I am a serious fangirl. Now I want to collect all things ACOMAF.

First of all, I did not know where the book was going to lead. After reading A Court of Thorns and Roses I thought one thing but it was completely different and I loved it! I love when books are not predictable because it makes it more interesting. I was dying to get more Ryhs in ACOMAF and that is exactly what I got. I was beyond thrilled with this book. And I am so glad that I had a buddy to discuss it with! If not I would have gone insane!

Feyre, was such a strong character in this book. She was strong in ACOTAR but she was even better in this book. Her character grew and she became amazing. She made the feminist in me so proud. I was roaring at Tamlin. I thought he was okay in ACOTAR but in this book I wanted to seriously stab him. He made me so angry. I just didn’t like him at all. He was driving me insane.

Rhys. Oh RHYS. I LOVE you. Gah. He is perfection. There is no doubt in my mind that he is my soulmate. HAHA. He just blew me away. He literally kept swooning me. His character is so powerful and his personality just rocks. How can you not love him?! I won’t say anything else but yeah. Rhys.

At the beginning the story had it’s purpose but to me it was a slow build up. It was more about falling in love. The action didn’t hit until close to the end of this extremely long book. There were some action scenes in between but it was mostly towards the end. I didn’t mind this at all because it gave me a better look at Rhys and it built him up as a character. To me it was perfect. I wouldn’t change anything. Although I was frustrated at times because I wanted something that just wouldn’t happen! AHH. I needed it but then when it finally happened I was ecstatic.

This book is my favorite. Like there is no doubt in my mind that this book is at the top of my 2016 favorites. I couldn’t even sleep or do anything without thinking about this book. It drove me insane and then that ending! I really enjoyed every single word and I can’t wait for the next book! I know it’s going to be amazing! So go do me a favor and get yourself these books. Trust me. You will not regret it.
