RELEASE DAY BLITZ
February 27, 2015

When Caitlyn Davis agreed to work with the FBI, she never imagined it

would lead to her own kidnapping. But her special ability to read people's

emotions and decipher the truth has attracted the unwanted attention of

Santiago Gomez, a rich casino owner who intends to use Caity’s talent

to further his own business.

Eric Shore knew Caity didn't want to break up with him; her scribbled

note left on his bed gave him a snippet of the truth she'd been hiding.

Still reeling from his brush with death and the loss of his beloved

grandfather, Eric throws himself into searching for his girl.

With help from his reemerged father and a rogue FBI agent, Eric follows

a tenuous lead to Las Vegas, not caring that his rescue attempt could

bring him face-to-face with the same man who killed his grandfather and

wants him dead as well.

While Caity fights to survive the horrors of her slavery, Eric is thrust into

a dangerous world that could cost him his life, along with Caity's.

Review
5 out of 5 stars

I am extremely sad to see this series come to an end but I think that Melissa Pearl did an excellent job. This book was packed with sadness, love, and hate. It was emotional because as you know for those of you who read Snake Eyes, Caity was sold. This book became scary and unpredictable fast.

Caity is sold to Santiago Mendez and while she is with him we don’t know what can happen to her. She is in a world where no one wants to be and it was hard to accept that poor unselfish Caity had to go through so much pain and fear. This was a really intense book not just for Caity but for the other people who care about her.

I fell in love with Agent Rhodes in this book. For sure I would of chosen him if Eric wasn’t in the picture. I could definitely feel his emotion at the thought of Caity being sold. The way he would speak about her and get that look when he though of her was so endearing.  I love Agent Rhodes so Melissa *hint hint* I would definitely read a book about him!

Let’s get into Eric a little bit because he was just completely heartbroken when he heard about Caity quite possibly being sold. He hurt so much for her that it hurt me too. He just couldn’t stand the though of her being hurt or worse. He knows that she has her sight but what he doesn’t know is that others know about it to so it is not that helpful but at least it is keeping her alive.

I wont go into the details much because I think you readers should experience those emotions for yourself. Just be prepared because there is abuse and it is sad to see that this stuff still goes on in the world. The world is full of people being sold and sex trafficked. I am taking a Women Studies Class (Women who work in the sex industry) and it pains me to say this but a lot of women are suffering in the world. They are being abused and many people don’t know about it. SO like Melissa, I also want to bring awareness to that. Melissa you did an awesome job and it is great that with this book you are bringing much awareness to people out there.

  1. Thank you so much, Tanya. I love your review and I'm so glad you love Agent Rhodes. I had to give him a bigger role in this book, because I totally fell for him in Snake Eyes :)
