Caitlyn Davis always cruised through life, not being the type to ruffle feathers or involve herself in high school drama. That is, until a chance encounter with a strange, homeless man changes everything.

Suddenly, Caitlyn has the ability to see behind people's masks. She discovers that her life isn’t as simple as she imagined and high school is filled with secrets...some very sinister ones.

Unable to ignore her new gift, Caitlyn embarks on a mission to learn why one of her friends suddenly appears terrified, but masks her fear with a bright, smiling veneer. Will Caitlyn's new ability lead her into hot water? Or is her new found vision a blessing that will expose her friends' true colors?

Her quest will lead Caitlyn to lose friends, stand up for those in need, and even find love.

At Palisades High School every face tells a story...

This book went from annoying to interesting in an instant. So at first I hated it because Caitlyn was so ignorant and she wouldn’t even think for herself. She let herself be completely controlled by her best friends Stella. The best thing that ever happened to her was meeting that homeless man. Yup, a homeless man because he gave her the gift of masks. She was then able to see behind people’s mask and discover their true feelings. This was the best thing to ever happen to her (even though she didn’t think so at first). This gift completely transformed her, making her a character I fell in love with. She is a good selfless person but we didn’t see that at the beginning because she was being so controlled. Once she finally accepted her gift great things started happening. In walks Eric, her next-door neighbor that completely ignored her before. He finally starts showing his affection towards Caitlyn. I completely understand his hesitance when Stella (the evil, staring monster) kept staring at him like he was a piece of meat (glad Caitlyn got rid of her).  Eric and Caitlyn kind of get together (one flaw=happened too fast). Caitlyn chooses to use her gift but Eric is scared of the danger she faces. To help the school and the ones who are in danger, Caitlyn must uncover masks to find out the truth. Will she be able to do it without breaking her promise to Eric to keep safe? Read it to find out!

Two Faced: The Mask Series Book 2
Caitlyn Davis has an unusual gift. She knows exactly how people feel. Everyone wears a mask, but she sees the hidden truth. This ability has changed her life, both for the better and worse. She can choose to ignore what she sees...but what happens when it involves the guy she loves?

Eric Shore knew getting involved with a girl who could read people was risky, but he couldn't help himself. Caitlyn is gorgeous and he loves being with her. Their relationship is going great...until she tells him that his step-brother and star basketball player, Connor, is doing drugs. Having looked up to the guy for years, Eric just can't buy it. Things only get worse when Caitlyn questions the true nature of Eric's favorite teacher.

The first year at college is supposed to be amazing, but theirs is off to a rocky start. As masks are peeled away, secrets will be exposed, dangers will be revealed, and both must decide out of the people closest to them, who is telling the truth...and who is being two-faced.

So the first book was amazing but one thing was missing. That was Eric. I anticipated this book because it was going to show more of Eric and Caitlyn’s relationship but boy he turned out to be a jerk (not exactly the whole book) but still. I got to see a lot more of Eric and get inside his head and I didn’t like it much because he didn’t support Caitlyn and he didn’t believe in her or her power. I felt disappointed and sad that Caitlyn felt alone most of the time without Eric’s support but I am glad that she is who she is. She is selfless so she continues to help people and discover things to help other people. The plot was very interesting to me and I liked how al the side characters were interconnecting into one big problem that Caitlyn had to figure out. I am glad that she had Nicole (her roommate and kind of friend) even though she annoyed me a lot she was helpful to Caitlyn as was Nicole’s boyfriend Dale. I couldn’t believe how they were there supporting Caitlyn while Eric was not there for her. I was seriously annoyed with him and I though I was going to love him but I really didn’t (until the end kind of). Eric needs to be more sweeter, romantic, and swoon-worthy for me because he just didn’t do it to me in this book (but Cole *sigh* did it for me in Melissa’s other book Fever). I really hope Eric’s character is better in the next book because it would make it more interesting for me since I am a sucker for romance. This book was suspenseful especially the ending. I am sure you readers that like a little romance and suspense will enjoy it very much!
